Paul is pictured here on January 2, 2007 with a butterfly sculpture he painted for the City of Lakeland, FL. It's one of a hundred butterfly sculptures all over the city used as a fundraiser for a special needs play park. The sculpture will be on exhibit, intersection of Kentucky and Orange Avenue, through the end of 2007. Paul will keep the sculpture at his homestead when the event concludes. DR. BOUVIER LECTURE AT EMORY |

Paul introduced Dr. Guy Bouvier to an audience of doctors and residents in neurology and neurosurgery at Emory School of Medicine. Dr. Bouvier was honored with an Emory award for his contribution to medical science after he presented a program on denervation surgery for spasmodic torticollis. Dr. Bouvier personally performed this miraculous procedure on Paul in December 1997. Since then, Paul has encouraged medical research centers like Emory to learn and teach this delicate operation. FLORIDA WILDLIFE ART SHOW - Lakeland, FL
Paul Schulz with his biggest fan (son Alexander) at the 2004 Florida Wildlife Expo. At this year's event, Paul's painting, "Spectrum of Life," was used as the official image for the Expo poster. The design was well received and Paul enjoyed signing hundreds to the patrons of the three day show. At the 2003 show, Paul appeared at the Expo with Rick Dantzler to sign copies of their book, "Under the Panther Moon." Their booth got a lot of attention when a real panther stopped by for a visit. Panthers are one of Florida's most endangered species.
WARNER SOUTHERN DEDICATION - Lake Wales, FL
Warner Southern Displays Gift of Art Donated by Paul Schulz Lake Wales - Local artist Paul Schulz of Winter Haven has donated a Giclee canvas reproduction of his acrylic painting titled "Spectrum of Life" to Warner Southern College. The 40" by 70" canvas displays 28 images of plants and animals in vibrant colors as a tribute to the biodiversity of the planet. The canvas is on permanent display in the library of the Pontious Learning Resource Center on the college's west campus.
At a reception held for Paul Schulz on February 23, President Greg Hall said, "We are honored to be the recipient of such an extraordinary, dynamic work of art. The canvas commands the attention of all who pass by it. Paul's work is a tribute to God's creation."
"Spectrum of Life" was selected as the poster piece for the 2004 Florida Wildlife Art Exposition.
The Warner Southern College Board of Trustees, friends of the college and area residents attended the reception to meet the artist and view "Spectrum of Life." Performances were given by the Handbell Choir and by Guitarist Patrick Nitchman. Former State Senator Rick Dantzler was also in attendance. His book, Under the Panther Moon, was illustrated by Schulz.
Paul Schulz is from Winter Haven and President of Florida Chemical Company.
From the French verb "to spray", the word Giclee (zhee-clay) is used to describe a digital printmaking process. Giclee prints are created using a high-resolution inkjet printer. Fine art reproduction has been revolutionized by the Giclee printing process.
